Brush your cat for five to ten minutes at least once<br \/>\na week to manage shedding. If your cat has long hair or sheds heavily, you may<br \/>\nneed to brush it once every two to three days or more<\/p>\n<p>Help accustom your cat to regular brushing. You may need to train your cat to<br \/>\ntolerate grooming. Be attentive to your cat\u2019s response and body language. Some<br \/>\ncats are hypersensitive to touch. Watch the cat\u2019s body language to avoid<br \/>\noverwhelming or overstimulating it.<\/p>\n<p>Bathe your cat. To actively reduce shedding, bathe your cat every one to four weeks.<br \/>\nBecause most cats don\u2019t like water, your cat may not be enthusiastic about a bath.<br \/>\nYou may need to gradually work your cat up to a full bath.<br \/>\nUse cat-cleaning products.
